In All Its Glory
I love the beauty and tenacity of the morning glory.
It greets me each day with its royal blossoms, but soon will eat my house.

Strong Impressions Cement is so vulnerable when wet. It captures the subtlety of humor, the gait of a pigeon, or the whisper of freshly fallen leaves. (Can you imagine a pigeon in cement shoes?)

Mother Nature in all her Glory
Gifts discovered just beyond my doorstep.
Broken, but still beautiful.
Potential lives at my feet.
A life lived at my feet.

Plastic in Its Unnatural Habitat
Mr. McGuire: I want to say one word to you. Just one word.
Benjamin: Yes, sir.
Mr. McGuire:Are you listening?
Benjamin:Yes, I am.
Mr. McGuire: Plastics.

Sewer Caps
The word "sewer" has a negative connotation, but I find the caps to be quite beautiful.
Notice the thought put into the design — the lettering and the patterns. They were designed to endure, and many display the year of their creation. I found several within walking distance dating back to the 1920s and '30s. My mother lived on Bauer Place in Mineola as a young child.
There I found a cap dated from the year she was born, 1936. How serendipitous.
The company that made this was established in 1921 and still exists today.

This is a water meter cap, but it was too cool not to be included. Notice the stars.
(On a recent trip to London, I discovered things were shaping up a bit differently there.)
