paintings & procrastinations
ENTRY 6
My canvases are as white as these snow covered mountains.
I'm staring at eight blank painting panels.
Life has taken me in other directions.
First, Quebec. Um…did I mention that I don't ski. As you can tell from the photo, I didn't really fit in with the crowd. So what's a girl to do when it's two degrees below? Well, let's just say that I gained an extra 5 pounds and need a coffee detox.
Back across the border to a week of catching up with chores(you pay for a vacation in more ways than one).
Two more days go by as I pack up my art. Sadly, it was time to take down my art show at Sip This (to hell with the coffee detox — get me a latte!)
Wednesday I will paint! Another diversion presents itself. I'm asked to give a creative workshop at my local high school teaching 12 students to finger knit. How do you say no to that?
Thursday I will paint! But, wait...I need to do my blog.
So here I sit, pondering some last impressions — footprints in the snow. As much as we have a disdain for it, snow offers a snapshot of those who have come before us. I sure would like to meet the person walking around with hearts on their soles.
Friday…I will paint?
