ENTRY 22

In search of calm, I spent a week on Shelter Island.
Snuggled in-between Greenport and Sag Harbor I found the peace I craved. A slower pace reminiscent of a time gone by. I was able to once again focus on the often overlooked details, like this bird house hanging since 1932(?). The island is only accessible by ferry, making it feel like an escape from chaos.

And now back to chaos.
Construction starts in my home tomorrow. No more peace and quiet. I'm trying to figure out how to maintain some sort of calm so that I can continue to do my writing and art, but Creativity can be a timid child, only venturing out into peaceful environments. I may need to resort to chocolate to coax this child!

    1. Nice pics! And the calm before the storm, eh? You got this. And if you need a studio space in which to make art, just holler. I'm good at sharing. :-). MB

  2. Thanks for checking out my blog MB! A very kind offer on the studio space. Will keep it in mind. For now, I'm setting up in the basement on my son's pingpong table. Nothing but the best for us artists. :-)
